The group builds its pieces with principles of complexity, rather intuitive the and impulsive ones which will determine the structures of them and of the original musical choices. The music of PASSE MONTAGNE is, at the same time, unstable, slightly scientific and broken. One thinks of an improbable meeting between the rock band Shellac and Captain Beefheart. PASSE MONTAGNE is a 3 pieces rock band with the drummer of CHEVREUIL. For lovers of SHELLAC, CAPTAIN BEEFHEART, BRAINIAC, US MAPLE, JESUS LIZARD.

Carefree and sunny “Pop de Belges” with a Monty Python wink to the times when guitars could still talk. In the Belgian Indie-store , Confuse the Cat is the only show window you’d like to take warning from. The cheerful anti-macho lyrics, the tight metropolitan drum sound, the melodic guitars and the frolicking between 2 vocal parts … There must be something in the drinking water at the house of Confuse the Cat. Whatever it may be, it is a new medicine that is a feast for your ears. For once, an overdose is not deadly. Confuse the cat knows how to let underground guitars sound above-ground. The songs explode like fireworks and every spark is welcome. The German clubs are already on fire, the Netherlands are smouldering and Belgium is beginning to appreciate the purring of the cat. The force of New Medicine, the new record – cd doesn’t fit this sound –, is that it evokes both the fuss and bustle of the city and the calmness of the desert. A pop record on which the irresistible songs bubble like an effervescent tablet in still water. The proverbial fresh wind on a hot summer night.
